LiveTV4Me Review – Is it Legit or a Scam?
LiveTV4Me is a software download that’s supposed to allow you to watch over 1,000 channels on your computer. They claim that with their video player you’ll be able to, “Watch live sports, movies, news, music videos and thousands of other programs from the US and around the world.”
You get all this for just one low time fee of $39.95, since this does sound too good to be true most people want to know if this thing actually works, or if it’s just another internet scam.
Does LiveTV4Me Work?
The truth is that all of these TV on PC programs promising 1,000’s of channels deliver a product that is a far cry from what they advertise. Yes, you will get a video player download and access to many channels but this will not be the experience you’re thinking of when you first sign up.
The channels that you get access to consist primarily of foreign channels, homemade video content, free broadcast television i.e. NPR/Public Access, and a handful of American news channels.
Sure, if you’re a die-hard soccer fan you might not mind watching blurry South American soccer matches broadcast in native languages, but to most people who read the ad claiming live sports channels this is not what they have in mind.
The truth is that there is no legal way to get a quality live broadcast of major sports event like the NBA/NHL/NFL/MLB without their expressed permission. In fact this disclaimer is announced prior to the start of every event and is strictly enforced.
This is why TV to PC programs like LiveTV4Me never release their actual channel lists in advance; they’d rather let you develop your own fantasies of watching your favorite shows and events before you realize that by live sports they meant foreign minor league events.
So is LiveTV4Me a Scam?
It may not be an outright scam but there are some very serious red flags and areas of concern. For starters this is a nonreturnable product; they claim that since it is a download that once you agree to receive it you cannot ask for a refund.
This is a very sneaky way to prevent refunds for legitimate reasons, like poor selection and video quality. Also found in their terms and conditions is this paragraph,
All streams are provided by users. LiveTV4me does not approve or disapprove of user provided content. Users may not provide content that infringes on any copyrights. LiveTV4me does not make any claims of providing specific channels. Users should not purchase this software if their intent is to gain access to specific channels. Users agree to purchase the software on an as-is basis.
Basically saying that the content is user generated and there is no stable channels just whatever is available at the time.
All-in-all I wouldn’t recommend canceling your cable company just yet as I don’t think this company is the entertainment solution that it makes itself out to be.

ALWAYS CHECK FIRST TO SEE REVIEWS!!!I made a bad mistake of not checking for reviews before I jumped into a sales pinch like this. I got taken! Even though this web site (LiveTV4me) has a guarantee stated on it, it has no intention to live up to it. The product did not work at all, when I installed it. No one answers my calls to they company. No reply from e-mail I sent.

I almost bought into this scam too. But after finding this website, I knew better. One thing that I have learned about the internet, if there is no phone number, it’s a scam!
March 24th, 2011 at 5:06 pm
I almost did not do a review because there were so many saying the same thing I wanted to say. I only wish I had spent as much time researching this company. I paid, never received the service and despite many e-mails requesting a refund to my charge card, never received a response nor refund. DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THIS COMPANY!!!
February 22nd, 2011 at 10:58 pm
Crap, I should have taken the time to research, but this ad was through Publishers Clearing House so I fell for it. Hook, Line & Sinker. Thank goodness I did not use my bank card!!! I tried to download it, twice even, but no icon or listing in my programs list!! I’ve emailed them but probably won’t get a response until tomorrow…maybe. Should have paid attention to the red flags.
February 20th, 2011 at 10:29 am
I am so thankful for your website. Often these companies post all sorts of bogus bs and you can’t find a review of them. “If its too good to be true” certainly hits home. Thanks again for saving me my hard earned cash.
February 19th, 2011 at 10:55 pm
i wish i had researched this scam i didn’t and they got me but the program would not even download to my pc and they still would not refund me

Quote from your Free TV on PC Websites page:
“Network Sites Offering Free TV Episodes:
* ABC -
* CBS
* NBC
* MTV
* FOX
* CNN
If you know of any other legitimate sources that are absolutely free please post them in the comments section and I will update this page with them at my earliest convenience.”
I didn’t see anywhere else to post this but there are a few other networks that offer full episodes online. CWTV, TNT, USA Network, and SyFy.

VERY glad I decided to read some reviews FIRST. Gotta stay in that habit, folks.
I won’t be purchasing this software.
Thanks.
December 30th, 2010 at 12:37 am
I purchased the program and did not read the reviews first. I usually look at reviews but I didn’t so I got the scam I guess I downloaded but I don’t see any movies. This will teach me not to buy stuff like this any more. I didn’t know i wasn’t able to get a refund but you live and learn. Thanks to all the reviews. Wished I had read first. Those that were successful in seeing your shows I wonder how you did it
December 28th, 2010 at 11:36 am
I’ll rate it 1, since there’s no 0. I was just about to buy it. Thanks for been there. And for those who used credit cards and debit cards… ask your companies and banks to return your credit or moneys. Especially… for those charged twice. Tell them… you did not authorized the second charges.
December 5th, 2010 at 3:19 pm
I have paid for the program but have not downloaded it yet.
Does anyone know if it can be canceled?
December 4th, 2010 at 9:12 am
If you guys want to watch free stuff, you are better off doing the work yourself. Use google.com and type in, for example, “watch Lie To Me season 3: episode 1 free online”! This will give lots of sites to pick from. Just pick the one that doesn’t FORCE you to download ANYTHING. Many of these sites will ask to download a player of some sort. If you have one already, I use “VLC media player” that’s free to download, you shouldn’t need to download another so DON’T FALL FOR THIS ONE EVER.
Just remember, never download anything or commit to paying anything. After all, the search is to WATCH FREE ONLINE…right!?!
November 30th, 2010 at 1:02 pm
payed $23.95 for it and never got it, scam big time!!!!!
November 11th, 2010 at 8:58 am
I cannot believe that no one has mentioned two things.
1. Free Legal OTA HDTV (Over The Air) – Get yourself either antenna, either a top quality indoor model or preferably a “real” outdoor antenna (I would wait a few months until the new Antenna Direct DB4 model for about $50 comes out). With a good antenna you can get 20-40 digital channels, with perhaps 12-15 channels in highest quality HD. You will not get HBO etc, but you will get ABC,NBC,CBS,FOX,PBS and a bunch of independent channels, Its free (no monthly cost), completely legal, and better quality than cable or satellite.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A NEWER TV WITH DIGITAL TUNER THEN PURCHASE AN HDTV TUNER CARD FOR YOUR COMPUTER. YOU CAN GET THEM ON SALE FOR ABOUT $50. THAT’S IT, FOR $100 TOTAL ($50 IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE HDTV), YOU GET YOURSELF 20-40 DIGITAL TV CHANNELS.
2. Veetle TV – It works like LiveTV4Me, where you have to download a piece of software, but unlike them, it is completely free. It probably uses the exact same P2P principals but unlike LiveTV4Me, Veetle is not scamming people into paying for something that is essentially a user supplied network.LiveTv4Me reminds me of all those companies a few years ago, that where charging for some software to download movies and TV shows, where with a few Google searches you could get the same software for free, and the content of the internet.
My personal recommendation for people fed up with high cable bills, is to get free LEGAL OTA HDTV shows with an antenna and then fill in the blanks with the internet.

Oh thanks a lot, I live in Australia and I just almost pay the 19.95 offer, like my cable plan is almost ending, and I want to change, but now, NO WAY, I won’t bite the bait, THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!! These bloody people must be in jail cheers, mate!
October 21st, 2010 at 11:42 am
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! Unfortunately we live in a World of deception run by Crooks…these guy’s fall into that category…shameful way to make, probably Millions of dollars from trusting souls, as they themselves sit back on their Fat, Pimply Butts and collect their ill-gotten gain, may the Universe give them the ten fold payback they so deserve. (in fact, I’ll meditate on that) That would be divine justice for all of those JERKS that steal from innocent and trusting individuals.
YES, they took me too, but I called my bank and told them of the problem and referred them to this website…Bravo!! Chase Bank…they reversed the charge and canceled my card (to avoid further unauthorized charges, tv4me’s unsecured website) and are sending me a new card…they don’t like these crooks either…I wonder why they don’t Fire their own CEO’s…LOL. Im very happy i decided to look at some real reviews before i bought this i almost went for it but like alot of people on here have said there are way too many red flags. thanks for the review.
October 8th, 2010 at 4:55 pm
25% of all channels have been seen and the rest are blocked
September 17th, 2010 at 11:22 am
DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!! Try instead WWITV-World Wide Internet TV. It’s free however you have to surf through to find US channels and only a few like CNN, MSNBC, TNT, etc. or try going to USTREAM or JUSTIN TV. Good Luck!
September 9th, 2010 at 12:58 pm
Thank you for this review. I was just about to call Live 4 Me TV with questions before purchasing…now I won’t be calling them and instead warning others of this scam.
September 9th, 2010 at 12:20 am
No, rating because I can’t rate something I haven’t seen. You did save me some money and feeling stupid.
I thought their final offer was $14.95 but I’m not going to go back to recheck that. Just reading the reviews it isn’t anything that I want. Thank you for being here,
Joy

I saw the ad in my spam filter, I thought this was the answer to my hated cable bill and hit the download button. When I was ready to pay for it, a hunch made me google livetv4me, and avoided wasting my money.
TY all.
July 26th, 2010 at 1:42 am
i am not very good in software installation but still, livetv4me isntall easily. no problem at all. i would like HBO and other cable channels to be included, but who cares if I have other movie channels I can watch.
July 22nd, 2010 at 11:38 am
When will people learn? Nothing absolutely nothing in this world is ever FREE!!!!!!!
July 21st, 2010 at 1:19 pm
Question: If you paid with a credit card can’t you challenge the charge and get your money back. Whenever I think about trying something I Google it and look for Reviews or Scams and thankfully, good people like the ones who have written reviews help the others who are wondering if they want to try something, so Thank You for your help.

In my opinion for the price it was great product. I received over 200 English channels of course no premium like HBO and stuff but at least the ones i have i enjoyed I mean for the price is better than not having any cable at all. for those who like different channels and a wide variety of things is a great entertainment

I’ve seen this ad a couple of times in my spam filter. Finally opened it. Saw all the issues others have mention here (no channel list, unsecured pay site, no CS contact number, etc…). Decided to do a little research, found this page, which just confirmed my suspicion, “if it looks to good to be true, it probably is”. Saved my money. I also deleted all cookies in my web browser, in case this site downloads spyware. And ran a virus/spyware scan on my computer. Cannot be too careful these days.

Lack of a listing of some of the major channels made me investigate further. I am very happy I did else I would be out $40 at least. Thank you for offering this service to those of us who would otherwise be taken in by these unrealistic offers.
May 1st, 2010 at 7:46 pm
great review.
Red flags to be aware of.
1. No channel listings on website = waste of money. Any service worth it’s investment money would list Actual channels it carries not vague categories with no real content
2. Testemonials. I always get leary when I see scores of testimonials on the advertisement page. Usually a bad sign.
3. Navigating off the website prompts an confirmation popup: VERY BAD sign.
4. No secure pay site. Any legitimate site taking yuour money should be using HTPPS with proper security and encryption to protect your information. If they don’t care enough to invest in a secure pay site they don’t care about your business or privacy
5. Lack of Phone support. One of the biggest markers of an internet scam is lack of a legitimate customer service phone number for billing and other related inquiries.
and finally: the fact that you heard about the site through an UNSOLICITED SPAM EMAIL. Come on people. If you didn’t ask them to send you an ad then why would you even give it merrit. How many LEGITIMATE businesses advertise through UNSOLICITED junk email. At the least you can be sure that they BUY and SELL email lists. In the worst cases junk email can include links to identity thrft scams, financial scams, and malware scams. MOST unsolicited email advertisements are pure junk. They should be gleened through and deleted.

Thanx alot for saving me from heartache and misery. So glad I decided to do my research first. Them not giving a listing of their “over 1,000 channels” was a red flag for me. Others before have said this and I would like to repeat it so that it sinks into people’s heads…If it SOUNDS too good to be true, THEN IT IS!!!!
Oh by the way, the person who gave a “GOOD REVIEW” of the product more than likely works for the company and is probably just doing some damage control. Don’t fall for it!!! Just say no!!!
Thanx again for the heads up,
Damon.
April 24th, 2010 at 8:36 am
well what i did was i ordered internet, then told the cable installer that i was planning on getting tv in a month i was just holding out for good deals, so he put tv filter on, see the problem with that is it filters out the tv aspect of it and even if it weren’t there you wouldn’t be able to watch it without a HDTV or a HDTV Converter box, but in order to get that little filter removed, take a flat head screw driver and jam it into the end of it and start unscrewing, just to let you know this is illegal so don’t get caught with it off if you have your repair guy come out to fix your internet, next you need a HDTV or converter then you can start watching tv

Mary (and a couple of other people), quit putting an apostrophe on things plural! Crook’s are out there?
April 10th, 2010 at 11:16 pm

Thanks for the the advice. I saved their e-mail advertisement thinking I would eventually down load it. From what I read I’m glad I researched it a bit more. $20 wouldn’t brake me but I really wish these less than truth full advertisements could be banned and possible fined. I guess that’s why we all have spam blockers.

I bought Network125 on 02/17/2020.I like it very much. It delivers what they say it delivers for the price of $5.55 and no continuing fees. I can get free new release movies from justin tv which is on their site. But on 02/19/2010, I saw on my bank statement that “I” had downloaded livetv4me. I immediately called the number on my statement.A recording came on and prompted me to a voice mail stating that all lines were busy and to leave a detailed message which I did on03/18/2010.Rachel from livetv4me contacted me by e-mail after I had left an e-mail,stating that I could not get a refund for the download because “I”agreed to their terms of a no refund policy.I called my bank about it and she said that after talking to Racek to come down to the bank and fill out a report so that they could investigate this matter since I had to close my old account and open a new one because I was being scammed. If I do not get a credit or access to the site,I will report them to the FTC and the BBB to resolve this situation that I am in.
March 12th, 2010 at 10:54 am
I bought it 4 days ago and I give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Its worth the $40…. and absolutely better than paying that dang cable bill every month
heres what i found….. yes there are over 1,000 channels. there is no hbo, cinemax or showtime and other stuff like that. many of the channels are webcams and foreign stations…. BUT in all fairness I see 264 english speaking USA channels that are not webcams so those are good working channels…. and there are another 300 or so english speaking channels from European countries (my favorite so far)
in all my count shows over 500 good (non webcam) ENGLISH speaking channels that are pretty cool.
March 3rd, 2010 at 11:26 pm
Well, 1st of all shame on them for selling “NOTHING”. And 2nd, shame on me for buying “NOTHING”. They definitely have lots of (USELESS) channels. What a waste of money, especially since i lost my job and am collecting minimum U.I.benefits. All i wanted to do was receive local programs and some childrens shows for the grandchildren. They just stole my job hunting gas money.
March 3rd, 2010 at 12:44 pm
i bought it and actually it’s pretty good has decent quality most of the time. I’ve recommended it to some friends…. they seem to like it too. so far…..:)
February 25th, 2010 at 3:05 pm
It’s not working properly. Many channels don’t open. I want my money back, but there’s no contact at all.
February 24th, 2010 at 8:49 pm
FOR THE CONTACT,THEY DON’T HAVE ANY PHONE NUMBER.THAT IS NON-SENSE .I GOT SUSPICIOUS AND WARY , CAN WE COMPLAIN ABOUT IT AND TO YOU???
February 23rd, 2010 at 5:27 am
I DID BUY INTO THIS SCAM ABOUT 1 MONTH AGO, AND JUST NOW DECIDED TO DOWNLOAD THE PROGRAM, TO MY SURPRISE, SEVERAL OF U OUT THERE DID AS I DID, AND SOME WERE SMARTER THAN THE AVERAGE BEAR AND DID NOT ORDER IT. i guess we live and learn.LIKE ONE PERSON SAID “IF IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS JUST THAT, TO GOOD TO BE TRUE” I WILL CHECK MY CHARGE ACCOUNT FOR A POSSIBLE DOUBLE CHARGE AS IT HAS HAPPENED TO SOME OF U.

February 19th, 2010 at 5:53 pm
I did pay the full amount plus one extra fee for my other laptop. This site doesn’t work. Do not purchase it at all. We don’t need these on site companies to take our money. Make sure you let everyone know this is a gimmick.
If we get everyone to write about it maybe they can stop ripping people off.
Thank you and good luck
February 19th, 2010 at 12:29 pm
Saw this ad too and thanks for your reviewers remarks here and the warnings…! Do not need to throw away 20 or 40 bucks to some slick money grubbing marketing campaigns.
I do use Hulu.com and I love it! Free, Reliable, and they have many many regular tv shows. Some offered dame day, sometimes they’re delayed one day or 1 week. but when you look it up, a message appears as to when movie will be up for viewing. They also offer a “que”, where you check off a box and you are sent a message when your favorite show pops up, so you can watch it at your leisure.
Thanks and good luck to the rest.
February 19th, 2010 at 12:26 am
I was almost ready to take that offer pf 19.99. But my gut said research this first. I am thankful I did.
February 18th, 2010 at 1:36 pm
I was a sucker and bought into it only to find that it is worthless. Not only did they get my money but they charge it twice. I tried to contact them by sending an email asking to get at least one of the charges returned buy to no avail. I also found that they really don’t want to talk to you.

February 11th, 2010 at 7:16 pm
Yea we got sucked into it and cannot use it at all. We live in an area where cable is not offered and dish is expensive so we thought hey this is great. Yea great for them they just got my money and I got nothing.
I called and emailed to cancel and they tell me they offer no refunds at all. so basically we are out the monies.
So to anyone that thinks this is great take my advise STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER. THEY WILL ONLY TAKE YOUR MONIES AND RUN!!!!!
February 10th, 2010 at 10:24 pm
Ditto. Thought that LiveTV4Me was too good to be true and this helpful webpage confirmed it. This has saved my $40 and the feeling of being cheated.

Like everyone above, it sounded like a great offer. But I thought I would check out to see how the quality would be. So thanks your review saved me a tank of gas!!!

January 2nd, 2010 at 3:12 pm
I paid for the service and i am not getting it
December 30th, 2009 at 5:23 pm
While I haven’t purchased LiveTV4Me. I would suggest anyone interested in “free TV” take a look at some alternatives.
Free-To-Air satellite uses the same technology as DirectTV or DishNetwork; an 18″ dish and a receiver. It requires some upfront out-of-pocket expense for the equipment and it’s no substitute for pay TV but you can be sure its legal. In the USA you can receive around 200 channels (only about 60 are in English). You’ll either need multiple dishes or a motorized dish to pickup all the channels(they are spread across multiple satellites).
For internet-based TV you have a few options:
Hulu, Fancast, TV.com, Crackle, and Youtube all have either TV shows or movies available on demand for free.
For a service similar to LiveTV4Me that’s actually free check out TVUNetworks. You can watch through their website or download their stand-alone player. The player is really free to download and use. They offer DVR record/playback features for a small monthly fee. They also offer subscription and pay-per-view channels in which the fee’s are determined by the broadcaster. I’ve only tried the free service so I can’t really comment on the quality of the DVR or the subscription content.

I rarely accept that there is such a good deal as “free TV”, so thank you for your review. I almost took the bait on this one. Jeff H., NC, USA
December 28th, 2009 at 1:05 pm
Thanks for the review…and thanks, too, to peteman’s reply … I was just about to take the bait of $19.95 also…guess I’ll keep my $19.95.
December 16th, 2009 at 3:48 pm
Thank you very much for reminding me that there’s no such thing as too good to be true or if there is, it won’t be this cheap. I’m one click away for signing in, they even cut the price to $19.99 I was thinking wow they really want me to sign up so I research the reviews on their product and i believe your logic. Thanks again and have a Happy Holidays . . .
